Branch Ministry Liaisons - People who are passionate in recruiting and organizing volunteers from The Moody Church to participate in ministering to Chicago’s neediest people. Hours and days of service vary.

By The Hand Club For Kids Tutors (Tues. through Thurs., 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., Cabrini-Green or Altgeld-Murray) - Help children do their homework or lead a small study group.

Kids’ Club Elective Teachers (Tues. and Thurs., 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Cabrini-Green or Altgeld-Murray) - Lead an arts or sports related class.

By The Hand Club For Big Kids Tutors (Tues. through Thurs. 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Cabrini-Green) - Tutor junior high kids in academic subjects i.e. reading, math, French, etc.

By The Hand Club For Big Kids Teachers (Tues. 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., Cabrini-Green) - Lead an enrichment class, i.e. art, sports, educational, etc.

By The Hand Club For Kids and By The Hand Club For Big KidsClub prayer partners.

Sidewalk Sunday School (summer) - Help lead kids in worship on Thursday evenings in Cabrini-Green.

Philip Teams - Make our guests and members feel like The Moody Church is home! Service teams: Parking Hosts, Church Tour Guides, Information Desk, Ushers and Greeters, Shuttle Drivers, Medical Response Team, and Public Safety Personnel. Volunteers are needed for all of our services and events.

M.O.V.E. (Moody Outreach Visitation Effort) Caring and compassionate volunteers are trained to aid the Pastoral Staff in the responsibility of visiting the sick and elderly of our congregation. Times and days of service vary depending on the need.

Barnabas Family of Encouragers - Mature, strong, spiritual survivors and those with special training and/or experience capable of helping seekers find healing.

Prayer Watch - Pray regularly for the work of The Moody Church.

Missions Conference Volunteers - planning, decorating, transportation, cooking and other general activities.

Adopted people group prayer team.

International Students/Scholars Ministry - Meet and be a friend and host to an international student.

Shared Hope Mercy Shipment Coordinator - Recruit core team to assist in promoting, organizing and recruiting volunteers for Mercy Shipments to Africa.

Shared Hope Construction Equipment Donation Coordinator - Recruit and organize team to solicit donations of construction materials from manufacturers and suppliers.

Recruitment and Volunteer Coordination

AWANA Leaders - Wednesday evening program for children ages 3 to 6th grade. Strengthen, encourage and take a personal interest in each child, especially his/her spiritual growth.

Sunday School and Kids’ Church Teachers and helpers - Encourage and help children grow in their spiritual life.

Vacation Bible School - Organize, assist, plan, or teach for VBS in August.

Sunday Morning Auditorium

• Video - operating switcher and camera (will train).
• Audio - Set up and tear down or microphones, monitors, misc. staging. No experience necessary, will train.
• Graphics - familiarity with SongShow, PowerPoint, Photoshop needed.
• Lighting - aiming lights and operating console (will train).

General

• Assisting with set-up and dismantle for morning and evening services, Sunday School classes and weekday Bible studies.
• Assisting pastors in PowerPoint style presentations and song lyric entries.
