Precept-Upon-Precept Bible Studies

Precept-Upon-Precept Bible studies are designed by Kay Arthur of Precept Ministries.  Although they have other models of Bible study, Precept is the "Cadillac", if you will, of their efforts.  In essence, we study the Bible to dig deep for knowledge with the ultimate result of a changed life.  Precept studies are inductive; we first look at the big picture and drill down to discover the golden nuggets of God's truth using skills of observation, interpretation, and application.

Each Precept study consists of a one-hour discussion of the week's lesson followed by a 45-minute video by a teacher associated with Precept Ministries that enhance what we have already learned.  The week's lesson is in a workbook and is broken down into five one-hour sessions you complete on your own.  This prepares you for the class discussion.  

Every class's first lesson is an Orientation lesson that explains how we study using observation, interpretation, and application skills, obtaining the workbook, and an overview of the first workbook lesson.  I encourage you to attend the first lesson of the class of your choice and see for yourself.  We'd love to have you!
